Ing. Judith Leo is a Tanzanian female Data Scientist. Currently, working as a Lecturer at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NMAIST). Her interest is in the data science and data-driven solutions, use of Mobile App and IoT for solving society and industry’s challenges, area of optical fibre installation, bandwidth and energy optimization, advanced network configuration, system development and modelling. She has experience in working with multidisciplinary research action which integrates diverse areas in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), environment, health, social and business areas. For-example, her Master’s research title was, “An Interactive Remote Doctor Consultation Registration system for Acquisition of Geo-Information in order to Enhance Epidemiological Analysis: A Case of Tanzania”. It involved the integration of Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), System Development and Integration using both health and environmental data. Furthermore, her PhD research area has focused on modelling environmental data with a title “ARPM: Adaptive Reference Machine Learning (ML) Model for Prediction of Cholera Epidemics based-on Seasonal Weather Changes Linkages in Tanzania. Currently, Dr. Leo is working as an analyst in solving the challenge of interoperability in Health Systems Domain in Tanzania.
