Patrick Obunga

Patrick is a competent Professional Engineer and Project Manager with vast experience gained both from private and public sectors. He is a passionate and entrepreneurial professional that work with broad roles and responsibilities. He prospers in settings that are full of change and challenges. Patrick’s work always combine setting directions, driving change and shaping strategies with a clear focus on achieving and maintaining operational excellence of the organization.

Currently, he is a Resource Mobilization Assistant to the Executive Director/ Research Fellow at African Centre for Technology Studies. Previously worked for Well-drill & Geotechnics Engineers/ Consultants (Projects Engineer), Baraka Agricultural College (Monitoring & Evaluation Officer cum Project Engineer), Equity Bank Limited (Relationship Officer), NESC-National Economic & Social Council of Kenya (Research Associate) & KIRDI-Kenya Industrial Research & Development Institute (Research Assistant).

Patrick is a registered graduate and professional engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and Project Management specialist with 12+ years’ experience in engineering (water resources & supply; irrigation & drainage; mechanization; structures; agro-process and environmental), research, resource mobilization, and project design, planning, implementation & management.

Patrick has M.A. Project Planning & Management from University of Nairobi, MSc. Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from University of Nairobi, Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Kenya Institute of Management and BSc. Engineering (Agric) from Egerton University. In addition he has done professional courses in Project Monitoring & Evaluation Skills Development, Value Chain Development, Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction and Curriculum & Instructor Guide Development.
